Diane Hogue teaches music at Coloma Elementary. Diane has a Bachelor of Arts degree in piano performance from Grand Valley and a Master of Arts degree from Western Michigan University in Music Education. Mrs. Hogue taught vocal music for grades 5-12 at Lake Michigan Catholic from 1985 to 1991. in 1991-92, she took her skills to the Dowagiac Public schools to teach vocal music for grades K-6 . Diane came to Coloma in 1992. She has 15 years of training in "Education through Music" with Randy McChesney. Diane and her husband, Jim, have two grown children who are both graduates of the Coloma Schools.

Music is an important part of life for many people. Recognizing that, the Coloma Community Schools offer a TWICE weekly class to all students at Coloma Elementary School. There are several goals for the elementary music program. We strive to help the students experience the joy of singing; in addition they learn about the discipline and The team work required to sing as a group.
