Director - Mrs. Rebecca Selvidge

Rebecca holds a Bachelors of Music - choral education emphasis from Western Michigan University (2008). 

At WMU she performed with the University Chorale where they gave exclusive performances in the Midwest and throughout Austria.  She also performed and toured with the award winning jazz ensemble Gold Company. 

Prior to attending Western she studied for her Associates of Applied Science – Music (2005) at Lake Michigan College and participated in Voices LMC, Chamber Choir, Concert Choir, Jazz Band as well as with the LMC theatre department.

She received a Certificate of Musical Theatre Performance (1998) from the American Musical and Dramatic Academy in New York City. 

Mrs. Selvidge has performed in regional and local theatre productions such as Grease! (Sandy), The Wizard of Oz (Dorothy), Pirates of Penzance (Mabel), Godspell, and most recently Ragtime (Mother) with the Southwestern Michigan Symphony Orchestra. 

She has been the vocal director for Twin City Players production of Sound of Music, Children’s Music Workshop Summer Workshops, and Kids on Stage Future Stars Camp 2009

She was a writer/producer/performer for A Woman’s World Cabaret at Danny’s Skylight, New York City and the local cabaret Broadway on a Summers Night at the Tin Shop Theatre in Buchanan.

Mrs. Selvidge is currently the director of the Middle School, Junior High, and High School choirs at Coloma Community Schools and directs the Lake Michigan College Summer Choir over the summer break.
