Starting Strong

COLOMA — Coloma dominated the boys side of the event, defeating Hartford 97-36 and Bangor 87-45. Bangor topped Hartford 73-56.

“They performed very well after having a week off for spring break, and then having bad weather and not being able to get outside as much as we would like to,” Coloma coach Jen Ickes said. “Overall their performance was better than I expected.”

Coloma’s boys were also strong in relays, winning three of four. Individual event winners for the Comets included Jonah Jones in the shot put and discus, Kobe Hunter in the long jump, Gabe Doggett in the pole vault, Derek Plitt in the 100, and Josh Young in the 400.
