Are you new to Coloma or have a child that will be starting school soon?  Below is information to help you get started and answer any questions you may have.

Students must be 5 years old by September 1st in order to begin kindergarten.  Our Kindergarten Round-Up is the last Monday and Tuesday in March.  Please contact Coloma Elementary at 269-468-2420 if you would like to attend.

We also offer a preschool program – Little Learners.  Students must be 4 years old by September 1st and reside within Berrien County.  If you are interested, please contact Coloma Elementary principal Mr. John Klein at 269-468-2420 for further enrollment information.

Not sure if you reside within the Coloma school district? Click this link to check your address. The school district code should match 11330 to be considered an in-district Coloma resident.



K - 12

Coloma Community Schools has a centralized enrollment process.  This means NEW families will start the initial-enrollment process at the Administration Office located at 302 W. St. Joseph Street, Coloma (located in the Junior High building).  You may stop in at any time during our summer hours: Monday's - Thursday's 8:00 am - 2:00 pm or Friday's 8:00 am - 11:00 am.  If you are unable to come in during these hours, please call us at 269-468-2424 x10 to schedule and appointment.  

Before you stop in to see us, please print off the following enrollment forms, complete them, and then bring them in with the required information listed below. Enrollment packets are also available at the Administration Office.


Online Enrollment Form Coloma residents only. Non residents-only if you have received an acceptance letter for the School of Choice program. Otherwise see below. If you complete the online form, you must still come in to the Administration Office to complete the initial enrollment process.

You reside outside of the Coloma Community School district but wish to have your child attend?  Great!

  • Students certified (raised seal) birth certificate from the county or state.
  • Students immunization record
  • Hearing / Vision testing results if available (Kindergarteners only)
  • Residents Only: Two items for Proof of Residency: Drivers license, rent/mortgage
  • receipt, utility bill, etc.
  • Custody papers or legal documents regarding guardianship of the student if applicable
  • Individualized Education Program Team Report (IEP) if applicable
  • Most recent report card or transcript (for grades 6 -12 only)
  • Completed enrollment forms
We know your time is valuable, so to make the enrollment process as efficient as possible, please make sure you have ALL of the required information before you stop in to see us.

Summer hours are Monday - Thursday 8:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m and Friday's 8:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m.
